For over 25 years Karrie Ross (me) has been satisfying customers with unique award winning graphic design solutions, conscientious business practices, partnered with a charming sense of humor...! I enjoy what I do and like to share that fun with my clients.

I created Be It Now! in 1998 on the way home from a design conference and have been bringing the now into my life ever since. The ability to listen, observe, question and communicate what is discussed, is of great importance to what I do as a creative person.

I've been an artist for as long as I can remember and what I remember is drawing pictures for my fellow second grade classmates. Although I didn't grow up to be an illustrator, I certainly did have a following back then! I did a stint designing movie posters and that is where my love for the "book cover" started. Writing was another story until I started working in the Advertising business and to my surprise, I was actually pretty good at developing headlines and setting a basic tone for advertising campaigns that a copywriter would complete in more detail. Then I found my self writing a book on parenting (which won two honoralbe mentions) and writing became another passion. I now consult/coach authors on the self publishing process from concept of subject matter, writing, design, promotion and creating a web presence.

As a one person, state of the art, award winning business, I'll be attentive to your questions and concerns. I use up-to-date computers and software preferred by most printers to create the digital files for your project. I'm available to contact your printer for the correct measurements for your book files and will be on call if the printer has any technical difficulties on the first print run. Once you choose my services, I send you a checklist of what is needed to begin and go over each point in detail to answer any questions you might have.

My graphics background is in advertising, marketing, branding, corporate collateral, logo design, brochures, ad campaigns, movie posters, annual reports, packaging design, product merchandising, etc.. I have designed projects for companies such as: Coca Cola, Pepsi, Jack-In-The-Box, Toyota, Microsoft, Raytheon, Cedars Siani, Pinkerton, IHOP, CPK, TransAmerica Corp., Northrop, Boeing and many more.

The above affiliations included many hours at the printers performing presschecks on the many pieces of collateral and packaging I designed. I understand the presses and what is possible. However, I believe it's my advertising experience that enhances my attention to how your cover will look, when it's in book stores or posted online, your tiny little thumbnail image... yep!... the one that is to catch the attention of your prospective reader, this is where my covers shine!
