I realize there are many services out there that offer you pre-set websites...and you pay from $10 to $25 and more a month to host with their services. You can do this all yourself and only pay the hosting of form $4 - $6 per month. Yes, you will be maintaining the site, but that is what you're doing anyways. I suggest using Wordpress as your software that is loaded to your hosting service... no special programs the software is not on your computer and it's free.

Wordpress.org is where you can view all the templates that are available for free, there are also sites where you can purchase more custom templates ranging from $20 on up.

Open discussion Q&A on setting up your website and how to position your brand, who is your audience, what purpose you want the site to serve, what is your platform and how you want to position your book, product, or service on the internet.

Professional Training for Your Website Set up, Function and Design
The basic website training covers a total of 5 hours and three major steps in the website process. OR choose a 3 hour, two step package, see pricing below OR choose by-the-hour-training and information on how to set-up and maintain consulting.

Each step builds your knowledge and confidence, empowering you to take control of your site maintenance, updating and posting anytime you want, form any computer, no matter where you might be in the world!

Suggestion: The more you can do on your own in regards to buying your URL and set up of PayPal and your hosting accounts allows us more time in the "how to use" training or additional information of your choice, this is NOT mandatory, it just gives us more time for indepth how to operate WP in Step 2 or developing the webpresence, traffic etc. in Step 3.

Step 1.

This is all about the set up.

1 1/2 hours = go over how to purchse URL domain name, web hosting and installation of WordPress (WP) FREE software, on your hosting server; email forwarding and set-up your PayPal account. These pieces help to make your website function the way you want it to.

NOTE: Let me know if you are interested in learning how to use ftp to access the hosting root directory for your site, and post audio, or need other questions about creating a web presence that are not in the web-package, this info can be switched out with any info included or can be an additional consulting charge.

Training on how to build and maintain your website using the WordPress free software system of themes and plugins.

Step 2.

This is all about operation and placing content.

2 hours = Training: selection of one of the free WP theme from wordpress.org, discussion of what you want on the banner, introduction to and basic run though for use and posting using WP software. I walk you step-by-step and go into detail regarding how to set-up blog posts, allowing for comments or not, placing tags (keywords), what works best for your post title, and best selection of categories for the blog page and information pages for your brand positioning. I'll cover each of the most used parts to WP and explain how to use them and why. I'll show you how to add photos, and additional plugins to increase ease of use and look and function.

Step 3.

This is where we talk about getting noticed, sending traffic and gathering names for a mailing list.

1 1/2 hours = This is all about the Web-Presence....the concept of directing people to, around and through your website to your most important information and pages. How to create and set up the following:
• marketing funnel starting with gathering email addresses,
• opt-in box, mailing list, auto-responders, newsletters, services
• tips to blogging; to writing articles, a basic how to building traffic which eventually builds an online community for you to market to
• the importance of content and informative copy. I'll present you with examples to follow for engaging the attention of your perspective clients

NOTE: Let me know if you are interested to use this time for anything else besides the above items, such as helping you set up accounts for the mailing list, auto-responders, article submission. Any time over the 1 1/2 hours falls into consulting charges.

Hidden Step
Behind
the scenes creative that I do.

• Banner: The website templates sometimes allow for a banner, this will be created using your book image, author photo or supplied photo. (Note: a custom banner using more than two images in the banner and a more customized website design, more involved theme set up, are also available at additional pricing).

• Placement of your book in the side column linked to your buy page or a buy now button.

• WordPress Functions: upload / install free plugins from wordpress.org that add to the function of WP software, making use easier.

This training addresses not only the how-to-build a website using WordPress, but a wide variety of how to's and training that one needs to know to get their business up and running on the internet building a web-presence.

1. Choose 5 hours, all three Steps
2. Choose 3 hours, two of the Steps
3. Choose by the hour: (the "hidden step" design etc. is not included in this selection, use this for how to, set up and other training info only)
