Did you know there is a way to assign a ranking to your Online Identity?
I was reading an old magazine and came across this website OnlineIDCalculator.com I’m always amazed at what people come up with to help us along on our internet journey. How to find and determine different statistics, rate our social media status, what color to use on your website for best results and on and on till your mind boggles with “Do I really need that?” or “Am I going crazy?”
But this item sounded like something to pass my time in the wee hours of the morning. So I tried it and…. I found out that I’m “Digitally Distinct!” There are also other rankings, see the chart below.
I found the 10 questions they asked strangely interesting and informative as to how they would determine the rating of a personal brand, although I didn’t fit into any of their selected categories I still clicked one to see what happened.
Then on the final results page I found this paragraph: “In addition to Volume and Relevance, there are two additional measures you need to be concerned with: Purity and Diversity. ….” (copied from http://www.onlineidcalculator.com test results)
I thought you might be interested in this “for-the-fun-of-it” aspect
they give you that spiffy little link above at the beginning of this post with your own results on it…
Ok… this might not be for everyone. [smile] but maybe it’s not your name you check out… try your book, your website, your favorite color… who knows what will show up. What I do know is that I’ll be looking at search results in a whole new way after this.
